An ‘Innovation Power Panel' Keynote was the highlight of the second full morning of the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Designers of all ages and and stripes descended on the ancestral home of General Motors styling on Thursday night for the annual Eve of Eyes event that kicks off festivities for the EyesOn Design car show. The spotlight event is always a favorite of designers to mingle, network and ponder their craft over drinks and light fare. This year, it was held in a fitting venue--the College for Creative Studies.
Germany's Pforzheim University recently held its summer degree show at the city's Congress Center for students in the school's Transportation Design program. The exhibition included work from nine graduating Masters' students and 13 Diploma students, as well as a Mercedes-Benz-sponsored project by MA students, a Renault-sponsored project by undergraduates in their 4th and 6th semesters and three Volkswagen-sponsored projects.
